The kind of information we collect depends on the purpose for which it is collected. In relation to our employees we may collect name and home contact details, including addresses, phone numbers and email addresses. A significant part of our business is in the collection and analysis of data and as part of that we may obtain data which includes personal information such as names, addresses and other contact details.

Wherever reasonably possible, we collect personal information from the person to whom it relates. For example, you may provide your name and contact information to us to communicate with you. To do so we gather, analyses and process large volumes of information, some of which is personal information.

GIS Group uses and discloses your personal information to enable the development and provision of our products and services. Generally personal information which we collect is only used and disclosed under the following circumstances:

Your Personal Information are mainly processed in electronic format and in certain cases also in paper format. Personal Information are stored as long as it is necessary to provide our Services to you, so that information associated with your account will be kept until such account is deleted, subject in any case to your right to withdraw your consent (see below). 

In case of a legal request or duty, a governmental investigation, or in case of investigations concerning possible violations of our Terms of Services, as well as in case we need to establish, exercise or defend a legal claim, your Personal Information may be accessed, processed and retained for an extended period of time.

GIS GROUP implements adequate security measures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of Personal Information and to prevent the risk of unauthorized or unlawful access, alteration, destruction or disclosure of such data. The measures for protection are based on impact assessments taking into account the risk to the individual related to the specific Personal Information stored by GIS GROUP. These measures include security and organizational measures adapted to the type of processing and the nature of the data to be protected. 

GIS GROUP will inform individuals promptly of any privacy breach that has compromised their Personal Information and will report such incident to the relevant authorities as required by applicable laws.
